Thomas is forever marked with the qualifying adjective “doubting.” How Thomas is known is due to one episode in a career marked more by faith and faithful discipleship. Could it be that the doubts that plague us are less marks of our unfaithfulness than they are challenges we must daily face in order to be Christ’s own disciples? What defines you are not the doubts but what you do with them. Thomas brought his doubts to Jesus. We, too, are called to bring our doubts to the Lord and to be strengthened in faith and encouraged in a life of following our Savior.
