Luther said of the Lord's Supper, “This Sacrament is the Gospel”. The wonder is that it is not only the Gospel received (forgiveness of sins), but also the Gospel proclaimed (the Lord's death). As we make this common proclamation, we also acknowledge that oneness in doctrine is witnessed to by those receiving the Sacrament together. We, therefore, ask that guests desiring to commune would speak with one of the pastors or an elder before the service.
